Lorraine Ball Named an Indianapolis Business Journal "Most
Influential Woman of the Year"
Roundpeg President Among Noted Local Women Who Demonstrate
Professional Excellence and Leadership
Indianapolis, IN: October 10, 2008 – Lorraine Ball,
president of Roundpeg, Indy’s leading small business marketing firm,
has been named one of Indianapolis Business Journal's IBJ’s "Most Influential Women of the Year." The
award is given to local women who have demonstrated
professional excellence and leadership in their careers and
community service.
Actively engaged in the Indianapolis business community
Lorraine’s focus is small business owners. Teaching workshops,
speaking at seminars and working one-on-one with business owners
across the state Lorraine makes time to lend her expertise to young
entrepreneurs as part of the Hamilton County Business Alliance High
School Business Plan competition. Lorraine also serves as president
of Rainmakers, the state’s fastest growing business association.
All honorees will be acknowledged at a breakfast on November 7th,
at the Westin Hotel, hosted by the IBJ. They will also be featured
in a special edition supplement of the IBJ which will be released
November 10th. Registration is required to attend the breakfast.
About Lorraine Ball:
Lorraine spent twenty years in corporate America, before coming to
her senses. While there, she had a track record of inspiring people
to succeed in a changing environment, creating high performance
teams in retail, manufacturing and service organizations.
But Lorraine was always felt like a square peg in a round hole;
more comfortable with customers and team members, then peers and
managers. Frustrated by the resistance to change, indecision, and
lack of entrepreneurial spirit as she climbed the corporate ladder,
she gave up the fancy VP office, huge staff, and big budget.
Today, you can find her at Roundpeg, a small marketing firm,
based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Along with an extraordinarily
talented team, which includes Bonnie the dog and Clyde the cat, she
shares what she knows about marketing; helping small businesses,
become big businesses.
About Influential Women:
Each year Indianapolis Business Journal recognizes local women who
have demonstrated professional excellence and leadership in their
careers and community service. IBJ first published a list of
influential women in 1996. They included government and civic
leaders and top executives in a variety of industries. Honorees are
profiled in a special supplement and honored at a breakfast.
