Rainmakers Announces a New VP
Nikki Lewallen Promoted to New Vice President of
Development Position
Indianapolis, IN: October 13, 2008 – Rainmakers, Indianapolis' fastest growing
business association, announced Nikki Lewallen has been promoted to
Vice President of Development. The newly created position provides
primary support for expansion hubs and strategic partners.
Lewallen's main responsibility will continue to be connecting
members to each other and representing Rainmakers at community
events. In addition she will be responsible for development of
strategies to retain existing members and recruit new members.
Supporting area Vice Presidents, she will manage community outreach
and strategic partnerships with other regional business
associations.
"Nikki has been an integral part of Rainmaker's explosive growth
since she joined the team almost two years ago," said Tony Scelzo of
Rainmakers. "This new role will allow the organization to leverage
the things she does best; connecting members and being an ambassador
for Rainmakers to the community at large."
Before her promotion Lewallen was the Director of Membership
Development for Rainmakers. During her tenure, the organization has
doubled in membership size and tripled the number of events hosted
each month.
About Nikki Lewallen:
Nikki has been focused on developing her speaking skills over the
past year and a half and has had a number of opportunities to share
her belief "Networking is the BEST way to grow yourself and your
business. It is all about the people you meet, the relationships you
build and the opportunities that then come your way, all because of
people."
Prior to Rainmakers Nikki worked with a local Employee Assistance
Program (EAP), Supportive Systems in a business development role.
She also provided workplace development training, counseling and
coaching services to employees.
Nikki Lewallen is a native of the Indianapolis area born and
raised in Brownsburg. She completed her undergraduate and graduate
degree at Indiana University School of Social Work, graduating with
honors. Nikki has been actively involved in a variety of local
not-for-profit organizations including most recently focusing on
Northview Christian Church. She currently resides in Fishers with
her husband Bruce.
