Indianapolis, IN: September 11, 2008 – Rainmakers, Indiana’s fastest growing business networking association announced, Jim Doering of Doering Consulting will assume the new role of Vice President, Rainmakers South. In this role he will provide direction and coordination of the activities for existing Rainmaker hubs in Bloomington, Terra Haute and Columbus and expansion hubs planned throughout Southern Indiana.

He will also continue to chair the Bloomington Rewind Event, held the 1st Thursday of every month at 5:30 at KRC 216 South College.

“Jim has been an integral part of our success in the Bloomington market,” said Lorraine Ball, Rainmaker president. As a matter of a fact we have grown so rapidly, we really need to have someone in a management role based in that community. Jim is the ideal candidate.”

Doering and the rest of the Indiana South Team will be responsible for coordinating the activities of all the southern events, making connections between members and encouraging economic development on a micro scale through Rainmakers.

About Jim Doering: As a 20 year IT professional, Jim Doering has spent the last 13 years developing his own company, Doering Consulting. Jim is active in his local business community, with ties to Rainmakers Bloomington AM, Bloomington Chamber of Commerce, and the local BNI Chapter. Doering has been greatly rewarded for his efforts in these organizations, earning the 2006 Friend of the Chamber Award, 2004 Chamber Extra Step Award, and numerous BNI Notable Networker Awards.

Doering has a B.S. in Marketing and a minor in Engineering and Accounting from the University of Wisconsin. He is an avid woodworker and enjoys creating custom built furniture and built-ins in his free time.
