Indianapolis, IN: September 9, 2008 – Dr. Jeremy Ciano of Revolution Eyes, leading optometrist located in the Clay Terrace Shopping Center, announced today Pediatric Optometrist, Dr. Jennifer Heil will be joining their team. Dr. Heil, a Pediatric Optometrist is uniquely qualified to perform examinations on patients as young as six months. Emphasizing early detection and correction of vision issues in children, she is able to minimize the misdiagnosis of learning disabilities.

"As patients, children present unique challenges," said Dr. Jeremy Ciano, founder of Revolution Eyes. "They are sometimes nervous, and less able to communicate clearly. An experienced social worker, with degrees in both psychology and biology, Dr. Heil understands how to make young patients comfortable."

Dr. Ciano will accept walk-in patients although an appointment is preferred. Revolution Eyes office hours are: Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

About Dr. Jennifer Heil: A graduate from Indiana University with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, Dr. Heil worked as a social worker in children services and people with disabilities for three years before returning to school to earn a Bachelor of Science in Biology.

With a Doctorate from Indiana University Optometry School, Dr. Heil has participated in several screening from elementary students to identify children with undiagnosed visual impairments. Recently Dr. Heil participated in a large humanitarian effort in Mexico when approximately 500 children were evaluated by an Optometrist for various eye related conditions.
