The first Tuesday of this month, June 2nd, marked the relaunch of Rainmakers Young Professionals (RYP) 2.0. RYP presents an opportunity to build key relationships and collaborate with other growth oriented people. We focus on personal and professional development. After ten months of early morning networking events and many more months of board meetings and brainstorming, it was decided the event would develop and grow best as an evening event. The RYP group quickly partnered with Morty’s Comedy Joint and made the move to the new venue.
One of the most captivating parts of our networking event involves the guest speaker. A different speaker is invited each month. Professional trainer and coach, Thaddeus Rex, CEO of Thaddeus Rex, Inc., did not disappoint. He spoke on “The Science of Charisma” and compared song writing to business development. Who would have thought the two could be compared? The music theme carried though to a discussion on branding. He touched on using strong adjectives and metaphors when describing an offer or product to help intrigue prospects into wanting to hear more. All in attendance walked away feeling inspired.
Have you attended a Rainmakers Young Professionals event yet? Join me and other young professionals in Indianapolis on the first Tuesday of the month at Morty’s Comedy Joint from 6:00-7:30pm. In July, we welcome Gretchen Schott, the Director of Enablement Strategy and Experience with Salesforce, as our guest speaker. Her topic, “Managing Your Brand and Getting Ahead” will be both entertaining and educational. I look forward to seeing you there!
