The Great Lakes Women’s Business Council is one of the 14 certifying partner organizations with the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) in Washington, DC
We bridge the gap for contracting activities between women’s business enterprises and corporate and government buyers. This certification program was created to meet the need for a national standard of certification for businesses owned, managed, and controlled by women who want to market their products and services in America’s major markets.
Our Speaker: Katrina Johnson
Katrina Johnson is the Indiana Certification Program Manager at Great Lakes Women’s Business Council.
As the Program Manager, Katrina, manages the certification applications. She also leads her certification team and the monthly review committees’ in both Central and Ft. Wayne, IN. As program manager, Katrina, is also responsible for supporting her WBE’s (Women’s Business Entrepreneurs), facilitates certification orientations, marketing and outreach to women business owners WBO’s (Women Business Owners).
Katrina is a graduate of Northwood University (Midland, MI), where she received a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management. Katrina is an advocate for Women Empowerment and is involved with Domestic Violence advocacy and has participated throughout the years as Special Olympics volunteer.
Katrina, recently moved from her hometown Detroit, MI in July 2018, and now resides in central Indianapolis, IN. and loving it, go Hoosiers! She enjoys traveling, photography and Prosecco! Katrina explains, “Detroit will always be home in her heart and Motown music is be the background music to the story of her childhood.”
