DESCRIPTION:Downtown Rainmakers is a quarterly event for professionals\, executives and business owners whose market place and/or related activities has a center of commerce from the downtown area. This event features top city leaders and business people with influence in the Indianapolis business community. Extend your professional network\, meet others who focus on the downtown marketplace\, learn from knowledgeable guest speakers\, and participate in the ever changing business landscape of Indianapolis! \nSpeaker: Bob Schultz\, APR is the Senior Vice President of Marketing\, Communications and Events for Downtown Indy\, Inc.\, a private\, nonprofit organization focused on improving Downtown Indianapolis. \n \nBob is responsible for developing and implementing the organization’s strategic marketing plan to position Downtown as a vibrant\, safe environment in which to live\, learn\, work and play. Among his duties is the coordination and marketing of such major civic events as Downtown Indy\, Inc.’s Circle of Lights as well as Motorcycles on Meridian. He also oversees the activation of Georgia Street and the Downtown Canal. \nEmcee: Our emcee Kristin Aleixo\, Iraq war veteran\, 2-time U.S Army Commendation Medal recipient and professional race car driver\, will emcee this event. He is the author of My Life in Story: The Outside Groove and stars in his own TV show chronicling his journey form the Mazda Road to Indy to the Indy 500.  \n
