Unless we know WHY the Bible is the Christian’s source of truth\, not only historically\, but by the proofs that confirm God’s thumbprints\, we will have no confidence of who God is nor who we are. \nLearn and appreciate the Bible to a greater extent and be motivated to spend more time in the word. The Anchorsaway ministry has constructed a curriculum\, Anchorsaway Christian Worldveiw Curriculum that prepares seniors in high school and college students to live out and to share the truths of the Christian worldview.  It equips this younger generation for personal regeneration\, moral revival and cultural restoration. She also developed a book and a small group discussion guide with a DVD\, for adults and families to study together called\, “Unanswered: Smoke\, Mirrors and God”. These curriculums are being studied across our country and beyond. \n  \n  \nOur Featured Non-Profit: \n \nThe mission of Anchorsaway is to instruct\, challenge and inspire students and adults to think Christianly in all areas of life\, live their faith passionately\, and love others unconditionally to the glory of God. \nAnchorsaway is a college-level Christian worldview educational experience targeting high school juniors and seniors and college students. Their appetite for growth and development extends well beyond the rote skills of their job – it’s in their DNA. They’re looking for organizations that know how to create and sustain cultures of holistic growth within their people. \nYet most organizations worldwide still aren’t developing their employees effectively. More than 77 billion spent on training in 2018 was ineffective\, and it’s costing businesses even more than the lost ROI on the basic training programs. We’ll then answer that nagging question of “What do I do next?”. \n\n  \nOur Speaker: Jason Cochran \n \nI started my career as an educational psychologist in 2005 and devoted 12 years to helping teachers\, educational leaders\, parents and students in Indiana better understand the psychology of learning and development. This included designing and implementing systems of support for all learners\, as well as group and individual interventions. By working in this field\, I developed an expertise in understanding the requisite cognitive skills for specific task demands\, allowing for rapid identification and delivery of appropriate learning and behavioral strategies. \nWhile I absolutely loved what I was doing\, I also had an innate feeling that there was more out there for me. This is what led me to find my calling for equipping organizations outside the world of education in also understanding and applying these principles for growth and development. \nThis all culminated into becoming a Co-Founder of iAspire\, a company forged in the belief that people are made for more.  Everyone has a calling and a desire to fulfill their mission in the world\, and much of that is shaped by the work they do in their organizations. DESCRIPTION:February Topic: A Celebration of Black History \nJoining the discussion: Dr. Patricia Payne\, IPS Racial Equity Initiative and Aleesia Johnson\, IPS Superintendent \n \n\n\n \nDr. Patricia Payne\, IPS Racial Equity Initiative \n\nPatricia (Pat) Payne began her employment with the Indianapolis Public Schools in 1962.  She taught second grade until 1987 when she was appointed to design and direct the IPS Crispus Attucks Center\, which comprised the Office of Multicultural Education and the Crispus Attucks Museum of African/African American History. Following retirement in 2014\, she returned to IPS and transitioned to an IPS Administrator on Special Assignment.  Presently. Pat directs the IPS Racial Equity Initiative. She has served IPS for almost 58 years. \n \nAleesia Johnson\, IPS Superintendent \nAleesia Johnson has served as the superintendent of Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS)\, Indiana’s largest public school district\, since July 2019.
