SUMMARY:Million Meal Movement "Swing Away Hunger" Golf Outing
DESCRIPTION:Million Meal Movement will be hosting its 2021 Inaugural “Swing Away Hunger” Charity Golf Classic to provide meals for Indiana’s hungry. Due to COVID\, the number of those in need has increased dramatically to nearly 1 in 4 children in our state who don’t know where they will get their next meal. This golf tournament is being held to raise the necessary funds to continue to provide millions of meals to those in need in Indiana. \n \nThe golf format will be a scramble consisting of 4-person teams. Registration begins at 11:30 AM with tee-off at 1:00 PM. Lunch will be provided at the Clubhouse Terrace\, along with a chance to win a trip to play and stay at one of the Dormie Network clubs (Victory National in Indiana) in our Hole-in-One competition. After the event\, you will enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres\, an awards ceremony\, as well as many exciting raffles and prizes! Golfing is not necessary to participate in these festivities. \nWe welcome local businesses to participate in the tournament by golfing\, sponsoring\, or donating prizes or auction items. Your participation allows fundraising to continue to pack millions of meals to meet our community’s growing need. \nThanks in advance for your support— it will make a difference to our Hoosier families in need and impact the communities in which we live!

So\, bring your family to the Grace Care Center for Thrivent Third Tuesday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. to learn generosity together. \nThe Grace Care Center will provide a unique opportunity for 20 families each month that will open your children’s eyes to the needs of others right here in the Greater Indianapolis community. \nDinner and registration is from 5:30-6 p.m. and service activities will begin promptly at 6 p.m. Participants must be at least 9 years old. \nNo products will be sold at this event. \n

This year will be our 3rd year supporting Secret Families of Hamilton County. \nSecret Families delivers a “Complete Christmas” to local families with school age children that otherwise would go without a Christmas. \nHere’s what what Rainmakers is doing. DESCRIPTION:The Convoy of Hope aides dozens of communities throughout the world–by providing them with free groceries\, health and dental screenings\, haircuts\, family portraits\, meals and much more at each signature event. Convoy of Hope Indianapolis will take place at the Indiana State Fair Grounds. They need 2500 volunteers! \nRegister with your fellow Rainmakers and give others in the community a chance to thrive. \nThere is a required volunteer rally at Eastern Star Church on East 30th street at 7:00 PM on Friday evening June 24\, 2016 where volunteers will turn in consent forms and receive their t-shirts. \nServing the community is part of our culture as an organization.
