SUMMARY:The Distinct Advantage of Video
DESCRIPTION:August Topic: Perfecting Your Cadence: The Four Types of Video and Where to Use Them \n  \n  \nOur Facilitator: \n \nDavid Inman \nDavid Inman is the Director of Development at Kennected and leads conversations across the country surrounding sales technology. As an avid reader and a firm believer in the scientific method\, he has always pushed past conventional boundaries. From monthly science experiments that he runs with his four children to his ever-growing “Idea Journal” and even Rejection Bingo (believe me\, it is worth asking about)\, he is constantly searching for ways to improve. David is also a self-proclaimed “sales nerd” who has a passion for finding innovative ideas that disrupt the market. \nToday\, that innovation includes something as simple as talking to a camera. \nDid you know that right now only about 6% of salespeople are regularly using personalized video in their prospecting cadence? That means that most people\, probably including you\, are still typing the same text-only messages that were used twenty years ago. It’s no wonder that most emails go unread\, unresponded\, and un-noticed. \nOver the past year\, David has taught nearly 2000 people how to improve their prospecting\, client retention\, and even inner-office communication using video. Video should be an essential part of every business plan for 2021.

SUMMARY:Critical Sales Habits
DESCRIPTION:July Topic: How to avoid tire kickers: Efficiently qualifying prospects. \n  \nIt happens to the best of us on occasion.  We’re so thrilled we just landed an appointment with that prospect we’ve been chasing for months\, that we hurry off the phone before they change their mind\, book it on the calendar\, and take a victory lap around the office. \nThe problem is we don’t always take the time to decide if it REALLY makes sense to spend time with that prospect.  We haven’t appropriately qualified them to make sure there’s alignment and we often end up wasting time with prospects who are not serious buyers.  The ones who are just kickin’ tires\, so to speak. \nIn this session\, we’ll discuss how to:  \n\nQualify a prospect prior to a sales appointment.\nKnow when to refuse a meeting\, and how to do it with grace.\nAllow your potential prospect to qualify themselves organically\, by asking good questions that determine potential alignment.\nDevelop standard qualifiers for determining if your prospect is a reasonably good fit\, prior to booking an appointment.\n\nThese tips will help you improve efficiency in your sales process\, ensure you’re talking to the right prospects and improve deal velocity! \n  \n  \nOur Facilitator: \n \nDenny Ward \nWith a deep passion for solving problems\, Denny has been in the human capital management space for 13 years. \nHe now leads the charge at Velocity Sales Consulting. Denny strives to help organizations unpack the cause of sales team challenges so they can maximize team performance and be more intentional about engaging their people and improving processes. \nDenny has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Bowling Green State University\, where he majored in communications with a focus in business. There he worked with companies of all sizes to help them solve organizational and associate challenges. \nIn 2014 he became a licensed Benefits Consultant and helped Indiana companies with their insurance and compliance goals.  His ability to help his clients reach their goals\, as well as provide impeccable service and follow up earned him many referrals and new clients. SUMMARY:Eat + Drink
DESCRIPTION:Rainmakers Eat + Drink is our monthly social event. We travel all around the city to experience Indy’s best independent restaurant establishments.  Everyone welcome! Bring a friend or colleague and participate in a relaxed networking environment while enjoying the great tastes of Indy. \nJoin us in June at Rick’s Cafe Boatyard! \n \n5:30-6:30 Cocktails\n6:30 – 8 p.m. Dinner\nNote: We’re responsible for finding a great restaurant! You’re responsible for your food and drink! \nLet’s support a local restaurant\, get to know other folks\, and have great food and beverages all at the same time! \n  \nAbout Rick’s Cafe Boatyard: \n \n\nWhen Rick Albrecht moved to Indianapolis from Louisville in the 1970s\, he was an insurance salesman who had previously been enlisted in the United States Navy. Rick would quickly become a well-known restaurateur\, owning several bars and eateries in the greater Indianapolis area\, including downtown\, Geist\, Keystone and eventually Eagle Creek. \n\n\nRick’s Cafe Boatyard has grown and evolved significantly since opening in 1994. The space now boasts several decks – an awning on the side of the restaurant\, an “extended deck” with retractable siding to keep rain and wind away\, and a large bar with an area for nightly live music. \nThe inside dining space includes a large dining room with a waterfront view from nearly every seat\, a bustling bar\, and two private event areas — one of which comes with a private outdoor terrace. While the menu has changed over the years\, one thing remains constant: Rick’s has the freshest seafood in Indianapolis. Our seafood is carefully chosen from locations around the world\, and our steaks and chops are locally sourced and of the finest quality. \nRick’s Cafe Boatyard is open every day of the year besides Christmas Day\, and is a true gem on the west side of Indianapolis. Many patrons know Rick and Tena\, and stop by their table to say hi when dining in the restaurant. The atmosphere at Rick’s is one-of-a-kind. Stop in to see for yourself! \n\n  \n  \nTHANK YOU to Our Sponsor: \n \nNathan Pfahler \nwith Weichert Realtors for sponsoring Rainmakers Eat + Drink! \nI am happily married to Jennifer Pfahler and we have 2 young boys who are fun and active! I have been a licensed REALTOR since 2005\, started the real estate team of The Pfahler Group\, in 2012\, and have owned my own brokerage since 2018\, purchasing the Weichert Franchise towards the end of 2019. To date\, I’ve been involved in over 700 real estate transactions and am pumped to think about how many families and individuals that means we have helped in their journey to homeownership! \nMy family and I reside in Brownsburg\, IN where we are involved in various school\, church\, and community activities! I am excited to lead a great team and a great brokerage! We would be honored to assist you in your residential or commercial needs. \n
