SUMMARY:Eat + Drink
DESCRIPTION:Rainmakers Eat + Drink is our monthly social event. We travel all around the city to experience Indy’s best independent restaurant establishments.  Everyone welcome! Bring a friend or colleague and participate in a relaxed networking environment while enjoying the great tastes of Indy. \nJoin us in July at Mama Carolla’s \n5:30-6:30 Cocktails \n6:30-? Dinner \n \n  \nAbout Mama Carolla’s: \nThe story of Mama Carolla’s begins in Omaha\, Nebraska where Mama was born\, and where she got her first taste of real Italian cooking from the small\, family-owned restaurants that were abundant throughout the city. They weren’t so much restaurants as they were just houses where a family would serve meals at a smattering of tables to earn some extra money in hard times. The food was home cooked and authentic – something that Mama hoped to recreate when she opened her own restaurant some fifty years later. \nMama Carolla’s wouldn’t be what it is today without the overwhelming support it has received from the neighborhood since the day it opened. Perhaps that is a testament to the fact that Mama Carolla’s and its sister restaurant\, Good Morning Mamas\, truly are family-run neighborhood restaurants – with Mama’s entire family living within a few miles. Mama\, herself\, has lived in the same house only a few blocks away for more than forty years. If there is a single key to their success it would be that simple thing Mama learned a number of years ago – cook for your customers as if they are your family. Welcome to Mamas. Welcome to our family. \nLearn more HERE. \nNote: We’re responsible for finding a great restaurant! SUMMARY:Cash Flow Management For Businesses
DESCRIPTION:Ready to create the future you want but poor Cash Flow is holding you back? \nEveryone has the power to take control of their cash flow and tell their money where to go instead of asking where it went. Too many business owners refer to their gross top line revenue as their profit. We know that seems silly but it’s true. We will empower you to understand the difference between gross top line revenue and your gross profit. This will also help you create business goals such as selling more and/or reducing costs which of course leads to more profit which leads to helping you meet your personal goals. \n  \nStart your journey to better Cash Flow Management during our class. \n  \nOur Facilitator: \n \nJerry Vaughn\, President \nJ. \nJoin us in June at Rick’s Cafe Boatyard! \nDetails coming soon! \n5:30-6:30 Cocktails \n6:30-? You’re responsible for your food and drink! \nLet’s support a local restaurant\, get to know other folks\, and have great food and beverages all at the same time! \n  \n \nAbout Rick’s Cafe Boatyard: \nWhen Rick Albrecht moved to Indianapolis from Louisville in the 1970s\, he was an insurance salesman who had previously been enlisted in the United States Navy. Rick would quickly become a well-known restaurateur\, owning several bars and eateries in the greater Indianapolis area\, including downtown\, Geist\, Keystone and eventually Eagle Creek. \nPREVIOUS RESTAURANTS \nRick`s Cafe Americain opened in Union Station in downtown Indianapolis in 1986 and was the first of many endeavors for Rick. The Americain was themed after the movie Casablanca starring Humphrey Bogart. In 1987\, Rick`s Cafe Dockside was opened on Geist Reservoir. The space was previously a bait shop and small bar\, and was expanded to have more bar space and plenty of outside seating. Rick`s Dockside was an immediate success and is what got Rick in the waterfront dining scene\, a unique venture in land-locked Indianapolis. Rick has also owned several other concepts in Indianapolis\, including Rico`s Supper Club in Carmel\, Rick`s at Riley Towers\, and The Cork at the Crossing. \n  \n\n  \n  \nTHANK YOU to Our Sponsor: \n \nNathan Pfahler \nwith Weichert Realtors for sponsoring Rainmakers Eat + Drink! \nI am happily married to Jennifer Pfahler and we have 2 young boys who are fun and active!
