SUMMARY:Eat + Drink
DESCRIPTION:Rainmakers Eat + Drink is our monthly social event. We travel all around the city to experience Indy’s best independent restaurant establishments.  Everyone welcome! Bring a friend or colleague and participate in a relaxed networking environment while enjoying the great tastes of Indy. \nJoin us in September at Rick’s Cafe Boatyard! \n5:30-6:30 Cocktails \n6:30-? Dinner \n \nAbout Rick’s Cafe Boatyard:\nRick’s Café Boatyard is an Indianapolis icon located on the waterfront of Eagle Creek’s Reservoir. Best known for fresh seafood\, prime steaks\, and craft cocktails. \nWhen Rick Albrecht moved to Indianapolis from Louisville in the 1970s\, he was an insurance salesman who had previously been enlisted in the United States Navy. Rick would quickly become a well-known restaurateur\, owning several bars and eateries in the greater Indianapolis area\, including downtown\, Geist\, Keystone and eventually Eagle Creek. \nRick`s Cafe Americain opened in Union Station in downtown Indianapolis in 1986 and was the first of many endeavors for Rick. The Americain was themed after the movie Casablanca starring Humphrey Bogart. In 1987\, Rick`s Cafe Dockside was opened on Geist Reservoir. The space was previously a bait shop and small bar\, and was expanded to have more bar space and plenty of outside seating. Rick`s Dockside was an immediate success and is what got Rick in the waterfront dining scene\, a unique venture in land-locked Indianapolis. Rick has also owned several other concepts in Indianapolis\, including Rico`s Supper Club in Carmel\, Rick`s at Riley Towers\, and The Cork at the Crossing. \n  \n  \nNote: We’re responsible for finding a great restaurant! You’re responsible for your food and drink! \nLet’s support a local restaurant\, get to know other folks\, and have great food and beverages all at the same time! \n  \n  \nTHANK YOU to Our Sponsor: \n \nNathan Pfahler \nwith Weichert Realtors for sponsoring Rainmakers Eat + Drink! \nI am happily married to Jennifer Pfahler and we have 2 young boys who are fun and active! I have been a licensed REALTOR since 2005\, started the real estate team of The Pfahler Group\, in 2012\, and have owned my own brokerage since 2018\, purchasing the Weichert Franchise towards the end of 2019. To date\, I’ve been involved in over 700 real estate transactions and am pumped to think about how many families and individuals that means we have helped in their journey to homeownership! \nMy family and I reside in Brownsburg\, IN where we are involved in various school\, church\, and community activities! I am excited to lead a great team and a great brokerage! We would be honored to assist you in your residential or commercial needs. \n
