Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Nothing quite says summer like peanuts, a cold beverage, and the crack of a wooden baseball bat. The Indianapolis Indians play their home games at Victory Field, a 14,200-seat ballpark downtown that has received numerous national accolades as one of the best minor league stadiums in the United States. The Rainmakers team was able to experience a handful of games this year, thanks to Rainmakers member, Chris Hirschfeld of Somerset CPAs.

Chris generously offered the Somerset CPAs suite to our team for several evening games, and we were thrilled! Being in such a lively, upbeat environment, having conversations over the roar of the crowd, and cheering on the Indianapolis Indians was a terrific experience. The Indianapolis Indians team offers excellent service and hospitality – the suites have just about anything you need or would want. Victory Field does such a nice job of getting the crowd involved, entertaining little fans, and making sure the grounds are clean and safe.

Being together at the ball park allowed us to have meaningful conversations with each other, and enjoy some laughs. The smells of hot dogs and hamburgers and the lively atmosphere was a great backdrop for genuinely connecting and learning more about each other – summer vacation plans, funny family stories, children’s activities, and the list goes on. A good time was had by all.

Sometimes the best way to learn about someone, especially a business relationship, is change up the environment.
