Our Non-Profit
The GCC Foundation exists to instill hope, dignity and sustainable change for all people while transforming the lives of those who give and serve.
In July 2012, the Grace Care Center (GCC) opened with the specific purpose of amplifying efforts to provide care and compassion to the local community through the Choice Food Pantry and referral services. Since then, the Care Center has grown to serve more than 600 families (2100 individuals) each week through the combined effort of four service areas: The Choice Food Pantry, Referral Services, Vehicle Services and ESL Services. For families who need more help than the Choice Pantry and/or ESL, the GCC developed a co-op program, which involves monthly meetings to help promote sustainability for those who take part. In 2016, 19 families graduated from the co-op program, no longer needing the services of the GCC and on their way of breaking the cycle of poverty within their families.
The GCC is open three days each week, but has been operating at maximum capacity for more than a year. On average, the GCC turns away 23 families weekly and the GCC is at maximum capacity for the number of students enrolled in ESL classes. The GCC Foundation/Trust is charged with raising support to expand facilities to maximize efficiencies of the GCC without compromising relationships or impact of programs.
