Topic: Indianapolis Cultural Trail and Pacers Bikeshare program

The Indianapolis Cultural Trail: A Legacy of Gene & Marilyn Glick is an 8-mile world-class urban bike and pedestrian path in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana.  The Indianapolis Cultural Trail seamlessly connects neighborhoods, cultural districts, and entertainment amenities while serving as the downtown hub for central Indiana’s vast greenway system. According to a study by Indiana University Public Policy Institute, the Cultural Trail has created an initial economic impact of $1Billion, largely in part due to the numerous and diverse property developments that have grown up along its path.

The Indianapolis Cultural Trail is managed by a nonprofit, Indianapolis Cultural Trail, Inc. (ICT, Inc.).  ICT, Inc. works to thoughtfully manage, maintain and continue to grow and improve all aspect of the Trail ensuring it continues to exist as a world-class public space for residents and visitors of Indianapolis.  The Cultural Trail launched Pacers Bikeshare in 2014 with 25 stations and 250 bikes located along the Trail and will expand Pacers Bikeshare in 2019 to add 22 new stations and an additional 275 bikes.

Our Non-Profit

In 2007, Dan and Nancy Hintz began Million Meal Movement with a two-fold vision: feeding the hungry and teaching the importance of volunteerism. As Million Meal Movement has grown, we have carried out this vision by empowering volunteers of all ages as we make a tangible impact together.

“We founded the organization because we wanted to be able to offer a volunteer experience to children that their parents would enjoy just as much.” — Nancy Hintz

We exist for those who are hungry—hungry for a warm meal, hungry for a mission, hungry to make a difference. We pack more than meals. We pack compassion. Give us your support, and we’ll give you an Indiana where everyone can hunger for something greater than their next meal.

We empower volunteers to make a difference through hands-on, high-energy meal-packing events. Each year, thousands of volunteers participate in meal packs, and together we donate millions of meals to Indiana food pantries.
