Don’t Forget To Stretch

Don’t Forget To Stretch

Have you ever been in a rut?  I have. I am pretty sure that most of us immediately identify “ruts” to be when things aren’t going too well, like a bad day followed by another bad day ora time when we aren’t feeling good about our self.

In this blog, I want to talk about the ruts that get us in a complacent state.  This is when you wake up to realize that you are doing busy, rather than meaningful work.  Define meaningful work, you ask?  Meaningful work being work that gets you closer to who you want to be and what you want to accomplish in your life, versus just getting by.

In case you get frustrated that you can’t keep yourself in high production mode with positive spirits that make you feel like you can take on the world daily, know that you are not alone.  I think it is nearly impossible to be that 100% of the time anyway.  I do have a strategy to help you feel like you are on top of the meaningful work more regularly, fulfilling your purpose and truly stepping into your greatness.

  • Are you being challenged to think differently on a regular basis?
  • Are you being challenged to do things outside of your comfort zone each week?
  • Are you taking risks?
  • Are you having difficult conversations?
  • Are you following through on your commitments?
  • Are you getting vulnerable and sharing your weaknesses?

This is the stuff that gets us closer to who we want to be and what we want to achieve.  We have to stretch.  The bigger stuff, not the busy stuff is the secret.  Find key people to surround yourself with, in order to stretch as much as you need to achieve the greatness you are here to be. Email me to learn more about stretch groups and how I can help.
