Mr. Dowden is a past president and board member of the CFA Society of Indianapolis and is a member of the CFA Institute. His career in the investment business began in 1989 in the retail brokerage business as a registered representative at E.F. Hutton & Company. Before joining Wallington Asset Management in 1997, Mr. Dowden operated the brokerage divisions of two Indiana-based financial institutions, ultimately serving as Registered Principal and Director of Operations of a Robert Thomas Securities office in Indiana. Mr. Dowden has appeared on CNBC and has been recognized in the Indianapolis Monthly magazine as a Five Star Wealth Manager each year since 2009*. At Wallington Asset Management, Mr. Dowden serves as a Senior Portfolio Manager and is a member of Wallington Asset Management’s Executive Management Committee and Investment Selection Committee.
