At times life can feel overwhelming and chaotic balancing family, work, faith, relationships, community involvement, health, and so on, but in John 10:10 Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
While this full or abundant life sounds lovely, it is not an easy feat. While this does not mean we are promised lavish wealth or a life without pain or challenges, it does mean life is best lived in FULLNESS, anchored in faith with healthy balance in every area of our lives.
Striving for health and balance in all 10 areas of our lives is a lifelong faith-work in progress, but we must do our part in taking action to move from surviving to thriving. Throughout life, we are apt to “get out of balance,” in one or several areas of our lives, but course correction is key. With intentional and regular self-reflection, prayer, planning, accountability, and discipline, we can live a life we are proud to call our own.
It is from a full cup, we can pour deeply into others. It is when we are living full, healthy, and balanced lives that we are freer to live out our passion and the purposes God has for us.
