Downtown Rainmakers is a quarterly event for professionals, executives and business owners whose market place and/or related activities has a center of commerce from the downtown area. This event features top city leaders and business people with influence in the Indianapolis business community. Topic: Boldly Moving Indy Forward – Red Line Rapid Transit

The Red Line is Indy’s first rapid transit line and will provide 10 minute service from 34 stations for 20 hours a day. IndyGo is committed to making it easier to start and grow a business in Indy, find a job, visit your friends and family, reach healthcare and education opportunities – and the investment has been backed by voters. Learn about the Red Line and other transformative transit projects.



Our Speaker: Lauren Day

Lauren Day; Director of Public Relations (IndyGo): Lauren Day is an urban planner focused on the intersection of community values, mobility, and livability. Among many responsibilities, Lauren is primarily responsible for public relations and strategic partnerships for IndyGo, the public transit agency serving Indianapolis. She oversees communication, outreach and involvement efforts around all aspects of IndyGo’s five-year transit plan, and works to further mobility initiatives including partnerships, integrated payment, and mobility district planning. Previous to IndyGo, Lauren worked for Indianapolis Cultural Trail, Inc where she helped launch the Pacers Bikeshare program. Lauren lives car-free in Fletcher Place and is on her way to a goal of reading 25 books in 2019.
